How Big Should Your Business Cards Be?
Some of the questions you would have about business cards are going to be aesthetic in nature, such as how big your logo should be, what font you should use and what colors are appropriate. However, there is a pretty good chance that this emphasis on aesthetics would let practical considerations slip you by. For example, have you ever thought about how big your business card should be? It seems like a question with an easy enough answer, but you would be surprised at how much of a challenge it can be if you don’t enter it with your head screwed on straight.
The truth of the situation is that there is a global standard in terms of the size of your Metal Kards, so if you want to cut through all of the noise and get the job done, you can go for it if it seems feasible. This standard size will make your card about three and a half inches wide, and two inches tall. Another way to look at this is by analyzing the ideal thickness of your business card, and there are two options at your disposal here. The first is the sixteen point grade, which would make your card about one sixteenth of an inch thick, and the second would be the fourteen point card stock, which creates cards that have a thickness of approximately one fourteenth of an inch.
A thicker card can be great if you want it to last longer, but the fact of the matter is that thinner cards can be a lot cheaper which makes it a question of how much money you have to spend right now. Don’t think that thinner cards are going to fail you, since they have worked wonders for many business owners and there is no reason why they can’t do the same for you.
